The itinerary

Day 1

Arrive at London, Heathrow International Airport. Your tour escort will meet you and take you to your waiting coach for the drive to Windsor Castle, the largest inhabited castle in the world and the home of the British Royal family. The visit will include the State Apartments and St George's Chapel.

Afterwards continue into central London and check-in to your hotel. Balance of afternoon/evening at leisure.

Day 6

Morning guided tour of the famous British Museum, simply the world's greatest museum. Explore the many international and national exhibits including the Elgin Marbles and the Rosetta Stone.

This afternoon a performance will be organised at a church venue in central London. (e.g. St Martin-in-the-Fields or Southwark cathedral - subject to availability).

Farewell dinner in Hard Rock Café this evening.

Day 2

Meet your guide for a panoramic tour of London. First you will visit one of the most historic buildings in London, Westminster Abbey. You will see Scientist's Corner, Poet's Corner, the Coronation Chair and many tombs of kings and queens. See Big Ben, the Parliament Buildings, #10 Downing Street, Hyde Park Corner and Buckingham Palace for Changing of the Guard.

This afternoon you will drive to the Royal College of Music for a workshop. After the clinic you will be given a short tour of the College with a stop at their collection of ancient musical instruments.

Early evening visit to the London Eye Ferris wheel for spectacular views over central London. (or alternatively The View from the Shard)

Day 7

Depart for London Heathrow Airport for the journey home.

Day 3

This morning an exchange concert or regular performance with at a local school or youth band/choir.

Afternoon visit to Tower of London. The Tower of London has been an integral part of British royal history for nearly 1000 years. Marvel at the breathtaking Crown Jewels, stand on the execution site of three English queens and hear all the myths and legends of this historic place.

Option to attend a West End Show or classical music concert tonight.

Day 4

Depart hotel this morning for a walking - various options available - Harry Potter, Legal & Illegal London, Dickens, Secret London etc.

Finish in Covent Garden, the former market square of London where you can purchase lunch.

This afternoon continue by underground for a visit to St Paul's cathedral. Afterwards cross over the Millennium footbridge to the South Bank and for a tour of Shakespeare's Globe theatre or alternatively Tate Modern Art Gallery.

Attend Evensong in Westminster Abbey.

Day 5

Today depart for a visit to Oxford. On arrival there will be a guided sightseeing tour including the Bodleian Library and Christchurch Cathedral.

Afternoon free time for some independent sightseeing or opportunity to try you hand at punting on the river Isis.

Return to London later this afternoon.
