Day 1

Arrival to London on morning flight

Visit to Windsor and Eton including a visit to Windsor Castle, the largest inhabited castle in the world. The tour will include visits to the State Apartments, St George's Chapel as well as an opportunity to explore the historic town of Windsor itself.

Transfer to your hotel in the attractive cathedral city of Salisbury.

Welcome dinner tonight at the hotel.

Day 6

Depart hotel this morning for London. On arrival take a ride on the London Eye for an amazing bird's eye view of central London.

This afternoon there will be a panoramic tour featuring all the classic sights such as Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Tower Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral, the Houses of Parliament and much more....

Day 2

Morning visit to Bath with guided tour including Roman Baths Museum. Famed for its well-proportioned Georgian architecture all laid out in elegant terraces, crescents and squares, Bath deserves its status as England's only World Heritage City. It was the Roman's however who first discovered its unique thermal spring but it was really during the 18th and 19th centuries that the town really grew to prominence attracting both royalty as well as many well-known celebrities of that era to enjoy the health giving properties of the spa water.

Continue to Lacock a National Trust owned village, a quintessential English village with timber framed cottages and local shops. Lacock has been used as a film location for numerous period dramas including Pride and Prejudice and Downton Abbey. It is also the location of Lacock Abbey, a filming location for some of the early Harry Potter films.

Day 7

This morning depart your hotel for a panoramic 'Downton Abbey' sightseeing of London including Lincoln's Inn Old Square (Inns of Court), National Liberal Club aka the Liverpool Grand and Bridgewater House which was used as Grantham House.

Free afternoon for independent sightseeing.

Farewell dinner tonight at a local restaurant.

Day 3

This morning visit the famous megalithic site of Stonehenge. The standing stones are anywhere between three and four thousand years old, their purpose now largely obscured by time. It is known that some of the stones were brought in from as far away as Wales.

Return to Salisbury for some free time for independent sightseeing and shopping and an opportunity to visit the impressive medieval cathedral with the tallest spire in England (404 ft) and the surrounding cathedral close

DAY 8

Transfer to airport for the return flight home.

Day 4

Depart for visit to Highclere Castle. Highclere Castle home of the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon. This beautiful property is prominently featured in Downton Abbey, the hugely successful drama series shown in over 100 countries around the world. The Castle is one of England's most beautiful and enduring Victorian palaces set amidst 1,000 acres of spectacular parkland.

Continue via the village of Bampton (filming location of fictional town of Downton) to Cogges Manor Farm (also a film location) where on arrival have lunch in the Manor House followed by a Downton Abbey themed tour,

Dinner at your hotel.

Day 5

Visit to Oxford for a walking tour of this ancient university town including a visit to Christchurch. Christ Church is the essential place to visit in Oxford. Two of its famous landmarks, Tom Tower, by Christopher Wren, and Oxford's Cathedral spire, contribute to the city's celebrated skyline. Many famous writers and poets are also associated with the college including Lewis Caroll, W.H Auden and John Locke.

Afterwards continue for visit to Blenheim Palace. Walk the grounds and stroll the halls of the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. You'll be wowed by the ornate and rich interior of the palace and the expansive gardens that are the very essence of an English landscape garden.
