Day 1

Arrival at London Heathrow Airport

Group met by Tour Manager and shown to coach.

Depart London Heathrow and transfer to the county of Oxfordshire.

Visit a well-established vineyard in the Vale of White Horse area. 'Bothy Vineyard' aims to produce the highest quality wines from grapes cultivated in an environmentally-friendly way, following an ancient tradition of wine-making in the Vale of the White Horse, Oxfordshire. The local micro-climate, warm sandy soils, long ripening season and mature vines produce wines of consistent depth and quality.

Continue through the lovely Cotswolds region, a range of limestone hills, located for the most part in the county of Gloucestershire. Historically linked with the wealthy medieval wool trade, the area is defined by its numerous Cotswold stone villages, 'wool churches' and merchants' houses.

A welcome dinner will be included in the hotel this evening.

Day 2

Depart this morning for the Gloucestershire village of Newent, where there will be a visit to very well-known English winery - 'Three Choirs Vineyard'. Three Choirs has developed a unique process of growing modern grape varieties side by side with world-renowned grapes, such as Pinot Noir and Bacchus. This, along with cultivation methods adopted from the world's most modern winemakers, gives a strong international flavour to the vineyards.

In the afternoon, continue to the lovely city of Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its Georgian townhouses, streets and squares. There will be free time for lunch, followed by a visit tothe Roman Baths Museum.

Later this afternoon, depart for the city of Exeter in England's south-west.

Day 3

Depart early this morning for the county of Cornwall.

First visit this morning will be to one of the country's most prestigious wineries.

'Camel Valley' has been producing award-winning wines since 1989, in an idyllic location on sunny slopes near the banks of the Camel River, using grapes perfectly suited to the local conditions and combining traditional methods with a modern approach to wine-making.

After the visit, continue to Bodelva near St. Austell to visit the Eden Project, nestled in a huge crater. Here, massive 'Biomes' housing the largest rainforest in captivity, stunning plants, exhibitions and stories serve as a backdrop to striking contemporary gardens.

In the afternoon, return to Exeter via the spectacular scenery of Dartmoor National Park.

Day 4

Depart this morning for the southern English county of Dorset. Firstly, we will visit the 'Furleigh Estate' Winery near Bridport. Unlike many of the larger English vineyards their wines are all made from Dorset grapes. Although most of their wines are sparkling they also make still white, rose and red wines.

Their sparkling wines have won many gold medals and trophies. 

Continue for a visit to the Jurassic Coast, England's first natural World Heritage site. We will enjoy a visit to the Victorian seaside town of Swanage and a boat trip in Poole Harbour. There will be time to enjoy lunch independently.

Dinner will be included in the hotel this evening.

Day 5

After breakfast we journey to the ancient Saxon city of Winchester. Enjoy a short walking tour of this historic city and a guided tour of superb Winchester Cathedral.

There will some free time to enjoy the city independently and to have lunch.

In the afternoon enjoy a visit to the village of Hambledon in the county of Hampshire, home of England's oldest commercial vineyard and the birthplace of the game of cricket.

Visit 'Hambledon Vineyard'. Hambledon Vineyard now comprises over 50 acres of vineyards and the only gravity-fed, state-of-the-art winery in the UK. Work began in 2017 on extending the cellars and wine storage to ensure that all the wine produced can be aged successfully on site.

Each vineyard is planted with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, the three grape varieties most commonly used in the production of Champagne. https://www.hambledonvineyard.co.uk/

Continue later this afternoon to the Surrey Hills area.

Day 6

Depart this morning for a visit to 'Denbies' Vineyard. The Denbies Estate has been family owned and run since 1984. Denbies vineyard was planted in 1986, and since then has become one of the largest wine producers in the UK. Denbies core business is agriculture visitors are given an insight into wine production in the UK. Denbies wine now competes on an international level, including multiple gold awards for sparkling wine. http://www.denbies.co.uk/

Continue into the county of Kent. In the early afternoon visit Sissinghurst Castle Garden, a true classic among English gardens, known the world over.

After the garden visit, conclude with a visit to 'Chapel Down' in the village of Tenterden. Chapel Down is often considered England's leading winemaker, producing a world-class range of sparkling and still wines, together with the award-winning range of  beers & cider. Sparkling wines are created using the Traditional Method, the same as Champagne, from fruit sourced from the South-East of England.
