Hobbies and Crafts
Many people have a particular hobby or leisure activity, which they enjoy at home. Travelling abroad with a group of like-minded people, finding out how the particular hobby is practiced in a completely new environment and culture can be rewarding and novel experience.
Perhaps there will be a defined travel objective, visiting the natural 'home' of a chosen activity for example, a special form of a handicraft that originated in certain countries or regions. Alternatively, there maybe a unique opportunity to visit and learn alongside skilled practitioners of an art or craft, by visiting a school, academy or training centre; perhaps a one or two-day course to share enthusiasm and experiences through a varied programme of visits individually tailored to suit their special interests.
Our tours include:
- Pottery
- Wine-tasting
- Gastronomy
- Quilt making
- Horse-riding
- Theatre going
- Painting
- TV/Film
Our aim is to make the experience as 'hands-on' as possible with the chance to participate actively and enjoy a lively exchange of information. Many travellers gain a lot of personal fulfilment through this kind of experiential travel. In order to create the right conditions for this to take place we know the groundwork that has to be done. We undertake to make sure the right contacts are made and the appropriate visits arranged.

Our multi-lingual team of tour co-ordinators has a wealth of experience of most major European countries. Great Britain, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain and Scandinavia are still among our most requested destinations but increasingly we find growing interest in countries of the former Eastern Bloc such as Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and the Baltic States (Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia)
