The itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at London Heathrow Airport. Meet with you tour manager and transfer to central London with a short orientation sightseeing tour en route,

The afternoon and evening will be free for individual activities, sightseeing, shopping and dining.

Day 2

A full free day in London available for individual activities.

This evening attend London Proms at Royal Albert Hall. (transport not included)

Day 3

Late this morning transfer by coach to Southwark in south London for a tour of the Globe Theatre, followed by a matinee performance of a Shakespeare play.

Stay night: LONDON

Day 4

A full free day in London available for individual activities

This evening attend London Proms at Royal Albert Hall. (transport not included)

Day 5

Depart this morning for Oxford, home of one of England's most venerable universities. Enjoy a guided walking tour featuring some of the university's fine medieval colleges, the University Church & viewing platform, and a visit to the Bodleian Library.

Lunch will be included. Depart this afternoon for the historic market town of Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare. Remainder of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 6

Today will be a full free day in Stratford-upon-Avon for independent activities. There will be the opportunity for independent visits to well-known sites such as the Shakespeare Birthplace Museum, Holy Trinity Church, and New Place.

This evening attend a Shakespeare production at the RSC Theatre.

Day 7

Depart this morning for the cathedral city of Worcester. Visit Worcester Cathedral, serenely located above the River Severn, & the Elgar Museum. Worcester and the nearby majestic Malvern Hills are strongly associated with one of Britain's greatest composers Edward Elgar, and once every three years Worcester plays host to the famous Three Choirs Festival.

This evening attend a 3 Choirs Festival performance in Worcester Cathedral.

Day 8

Depart this morning for a visit to the pretty riverside town of Tewkesbury, with a chance to visit the lovely abbey with its Norman and Romanesque features. Free afternoon.

In the late afternoon/early evening, transfer for a Three Choirs Festival performance in Worcester Cathedral. Return to your hotel after the performance.

Stay night: WORCESTER 

Day 9

Depart this morning for a tour around the 'Black & White Village' trail of north-western Herefordshire. The trail goes through some of the prettiest villages and most beautiful landscape in England. The 40 mile circular trail leads west from the ancient town of Leominster, through a rich landscape of orchards, hop-yards and distant hills, taking in the most picturesque black and white villages along the way as well as the little market town of Kington. Lunch will be included along the way.

Enjoy an early dinner this evening, then transfer for a Three Choirs Festival performance in Worcester Cathedral. Return to your hotel after the performance.
